As if day 3 hormones weren't hard enough to deal with on their own, my little Noah has had to be admitted into hospital with jaundice. He is now on light therapy for 6 hours.

Bless him 🥹 Depending on your hospital they might have a Biliblanket so you could have cuddles whilst he has his light therapy

My little one needed light therapy for 24+ hours for jaundice and we had the blanket as mentioned above which made it much easier so definitely request that if available 😊

It’s so hard, we went through same with our son, it’s the best sleep we all had in the early days as my son loved the warmth! If you can lots of rest it’ll really help x

My little one was ‘under the light’ 3 times when he was born. The first time at a day old for 24 hours then another 2 times for 8-12 hours. He was in NICU for 11 days due to being premature. Wishing your little one a speedy recovery! X

My daughter had five days of this, including a readmission, it’s really tough going but you’ll get there! ❤️ Looking at your little one, he might benefit from the smaller ‘preemie’ size mask, I only mention as I wish someone had told me earlier that there even was a smaller size! My little girl had this size and I spent the first 3-4 days battling with it to stop it sliding over her nose and mouth whenever she moved her head, which made the whole experience harder as it was constantly waking her up when we did manage to settle her! Wishing you all the best and hope you get home soon!

Thanks ladies......we came home yesterday. Noah was in a biliblanket for 6 hours and was then taken off. Such a tough couple of days of feeling like I was constantly battling against everything to help make him better. Thankfully the light did its job and he is definitely much better than he was and is feeding like normal again!
