Help with chicken!
One of our hens has been getting picked on for a few weeks by the flock and for the last few days she’s been hiding and barely eating. I just found her almost dead, she’ll probably not make it another hour. Has she been sick or is it from them bullying her and pecking her? All the other hens and rooster are healthy and fine it seems. I feel so bad for her, we’ve tried so hard to make sure she’s eating and not getting pecked at. We have dogs but there’s been no sign that one of our dogs got her. We also have a fox that has killed one of our ducks and gone after another lately but she has no visible wounds. Is this normal sometimes or should I get her tested when she dies to protect the flock?

Get her tested if you want. I’d assume the flock knows something you don’t. I wouldn’t eat it. Sometimes nature knows better than we do.
