Dog jumped & landed on belly

I’m nearly 22 wks and 9kg dog jumped and landed on my belly as I was laying down. Should I be concerned or need to go in to get checked out?

I have an anterior placenta so haven’t really felt baby much at all yet so I can’t tell off of movement everything is okay🥲

At 22 weeks you’ve still got a lot of fluid and a tiny baby so they’re very well cushioned. However, if you’re worried it’s always worth calling triage to check if they’d like you to go in and see a midwife

This happened to me with my 14kg dog, I called the midwifery team and I was told not to worry! I also had an anterior placenta

Don’t worry one of my dogs is 15kg and one is 19.5kg and I think there were multiple times this happened! I also had an anterior placenta. Of course if you start having any pain make sure you go get checked x

My sister’s Doberman weighs over 100 pounds and jumped up on me at around 18 weeks pregnant (being playful, not aggressive).

I wasn’t worried because honestly it didn’t even hurt, but then when I saw the bruise, I started to worry a little!

Long story short - everything turned out fine. As others have said, baby is well protected in the womb at this stage. I’ve had 2 scans since the incident and everything is still going well with baby!

If you’re a highly anxious person, you might want to consider getting checked out for your own peace of mind. Worrying yourself to death will do more harm than good.

When i was in my early 2nd trimester, we took our dog to the dog park (its a gated big area where dogs can go off leash and we had been going since we had him). I was knocked over and landed facedown by 2 big dogs (bully type so large, and we have a labrador). I was winded for a bit and called the midwife and they said to monitor. If i was in pain or if there was bleeding, come straight to triage. Luckily i was fine. Those dog owners couldn't get there fast enough after my husband told them i was pregnant 😡😡😡

You should be fine! If you’re worried get checked for your own sanity but my 26kg dog did an all four pounce onto my belly at 26 weeks pregnant when I was lying down and I’m currently watching my 10 month old sleep on the monitor so all is well
