Hi ladies. I think my daughter may have labial fusion. Does anybody have any experience with this? I noticed by chance during a nappy change yesterday. At first I felt bad for not noticing sooner but as I did research its quite common to not realise.

My youngest daughter had this. It was discovered around 4 months old. We switched to just using a wet cloth to do all her diaper changes. Our doctor thought that it may have been caused by irritation from the wipes we were using. We saw a pediatric urologist and he recommended that we continue monitoring it, but that it should get better when she gets older. It’s normal now. She is 19 months olds old. I am from the US. So, I am not sure if the procedure is different in how these are handled there. Don’t feel bad about noticing. The doctor pointed it out to me. I guess in some cases it can cause issues urinating. But, we didn’t experience that and it went away on its own. I was really worried but everything was fine. So, try not to stress. And see what the doctor recommends.

Hi! How is she doing now? Just found out my daughter has the same and we’ve been referred to a pediatrician but not sure what to expect here in the uk?

@Arianna have you had any updates? I've been to two people who have told me she's fine and she's clearly not.
