Anyone else regret not starting their maternity leave earlier
So, im currently 35 weeks and due to start Maternity Leave at 37 weeks. But im regretting it so much! 😢
There is a high chance I'll be induced at 38w due to high risk pregnancy and I've been in and put of hospital recently!
But I am exhausted both mentally and physically now and need the break! 😩
I do only work 3hrs an evening, but I do also have a 3 year old at home with me in the day (when he's not at nursery), so that's draining too 🙈
My 1st was born in June 2020 and I was furloughed in March 2020, so this is all new and I am struggling 😅🙈

Yes, I went in today and asked to take annual leave for the rest of it as I am done!
i finished yesterday 37+5 and now i’m sat around feeling guilty for not working! i can’t win with my emotions
I feel this😅 35 weeks with my first baby still working full time up until 38+3, I work in hospitality so on my feet all day and along with the heat now it's killing me🫠 I've got this full week left then I'm reducing to 3 shifts a week up until my last shift on 14th June, wishing I had enough Annual Leave to go off now🥲
I finish this Thursday at 35+2! I actually feel great in myself and could go on, but don’t see the point. I deserve the rest before he comes

Have an 18month at home and work 4 days a week, as a nurse
I don't qualify for stat maternity pay, so working right up to 39weeks! Urgh.

Yes same! If they won't let you leave early can you take sick leave? I believe most companies have to put you on to maternity leave automatically if you are off sick with a pregnancy related illness 4 weeks before your due date. May be worth considering if you're struggling
I've taken all my annual leave 😅🙈 I've been in and out of hospital (I'm high risk due to a few things) and I'm just mentally and physically exhausted now 😩
Definitely debating whether to just go sick for my last week 😅
