Waiting or induction?

I’m almost 40. There’s statistics showing unnecessary inductions leading to c sections so I’m waiting it out. Just being patient I don’t need to rush!

Tried to get induced last week
Didn’t work after 48 hours
Going to doctor to get checked again tomorrow
Trying to decide what to do

Highly recommend not inducing if you’re not dilated

i’m 40+2 and saw my obgyn today. he offered me the same choices. baby is comfortable and healthy so i’m waiting until she’s ready to make her appearance. 🤍

Same here, just left the doctor and I’m not dilated enough to do a sweep. I need this baby to hurry up. 😭

I’m 5cm dilated, I really thought that’s be enough for labor to start sooner for us! But nope!

I'll be 40 weeks on Friday and hoping baby girl will come soon! If she's not here by then, I'll try a sweep at 41 weeks so I can hopefully still birth at the birth center before they would have to transfer at 42 weeks. Trying to avoid a medical induction and transfer. 🤞🏼

I got a sweep last Thursday at 39w, nothing from that for me! I hope it works for you! I’m not sure if I’ll get another at my 40 week appt Thursday

I heard sometimes it takes a couple. I'm sorry the first didn't work!
My midwives can offer 2 sweeps, then a foley bulb, and finally try breaking my water if I qualify, before I legally would have to transfer at 42. I'm hoping she comes this week though! I hope your baby does too!

I chose to induce the day before 40 weeks so baby girl was born on her due date. My anxiety was getting bad each day that passed with trying to track her movements and because i had to arrange childcare for my other kids while in the hospital
