Baby hit his head on my chin

I don’t know if he did it with forehead of soft spot while looking for the breast, but I’m freaking out he might have hit his soft spot. No crying, no markings but extremely fussy later at night and today. Should I see the doctor? Could he hurt himself that way?

For myself, I wouldn't be worried. He may have a headache. The soft spot is more resilient than you expect!

Unless your chin was moving toward him at a good speed and he managed to sort of bump up into it, the impact shouldn't be significant enough to cause anything more than a bit of a headache (if anything).
Unfortunately my rambunctious little baby does this all the time when he's hungry, and he's just fine :)

If really worried, you can always call his doctor.

Also be careful for your own breast. Constant hitting can lead to blocked ducts which god forbid can cause abcess

My baby did this so many times and I held my breathe because I was so scared. She was a few weeks old when she did that. Now she’s 1 year old and complete fine 😅

Interesting that I found this post. My baby was napping on my chest while I was laying on the sofa watching TV. She just unexpectedly lifted her head and hit her forehead on my chin! Again like the person posting, I was worried. But helpful to see everyone’s responses above.

in a few months time you would be surprised you ever worried about such thing! Baby is going great and so will yours. Don’t even think of stressing about it! :)
