Have very open communication so the friends you are meeting don’t get frustrated and give up when you cancel. Take it easy on yourself, you cant do everything.

Do your best and don’t stress if your surrounded by non understanding ppl make friends that will help you either mentally by just being there when u need or physically if you need help with small tasks to keep you grounded

Be a graceful friend on both sides. Life happens, sometimes all at once! Last year was a busy year for our family with births, deaths, and health issues. Lots of canceled plans or having to give a maybe and a brief explanation. But also be the understanding friend too. Be flexible. You’ve got two older kids and it’s easier for you to get around vs your friend with a baby and toddler, so go to her. Friend doesn’t have a car, bring lunch. Friend loves out of state, offer room in your home if she visits. If kids seem to not catch a break with illness, do a drop off of things that help your kids get through - Pedialyte, ice pops, fruit and veggie pouches - or things for family like a meal, a new movie or game, etc. Flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and other delivered goodies aren’t just for lovers; send them to your friends! If finances are an issue keep an eye out for free or cheap deals.

Make sure you find a day and time to meet. The mom friend may think you don’t like her.
