Hi ladies,
Just wondering if anyone’s baby was born with a strawberry hemangioma? My 9 week old has one on the side of her head. Just wondering when they stop growing/raising before they shrink down? I read that they get to 80% capacity by 3 months but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced them? I hate how raised it is, in case she ever catches it on something.

Ours has stayed and she’s 3 years old. It’s more of an “if it goes down” I think.

My step son had one on the side of his head and its gone, he is nearly 4 years old now

I was born with one on my stomach, it gradually faded and by time I was 10 was barely noticeable

My friends son had one on his nose, he is nearly 3 and has just finished having treatment with GOSH to stop the growth and shrink it.

My son had one his arm. Kept growing til about the age of 1year to about the size of a golf ball?! Got infected because he was scratching it alot... then got some antibiotic cream and now he's 3 it's basically almost faded and totally flat.

My son had one behind his ear. It reached full size around 3 months and by almost 1 year had totally disappeared. They growth and reduction can vary between children though but I’m sure they say they are always usually gone by age 5 x

My baby has one on her arm it came around 3 weeks, my hv and the dr said they either get bigger/ stay the same then by 1 start to shrink or they can stay there forever. She said they’d only be concerned if it’s by the eye. X

Hi, my 9 week old has one on her face near her eye. We had an appointment with a dermatologist this week and he said they can rapidly grow until around 5months and that most will go by age 5 😊
We just started treatment this week xx
