Baby fever?
My girl started having a fever sunday morning, No sickness along with it just the fever it was 99.4 low grade fever today it’s been a bit worse earlier it was still low about 99.5 and now it’s at 101.1.. Can someone tell me why i don’t understand she’s not sick coughing or anything she’s just burning up and i feel so bad for her

Typically fever with no other symptoms is a UTI. I would take her because she’ll need an antibiotic.
That’s the only time my pediatrician said to be overly cautious at the least.
My daughter was like that and her fever kept getting higher and she tested positive for strep throat. I thought it was teething at 1st and then I thought it was a uti but they said she tested postitve for strep and its going around.
but she’s only 9 months .. i didn’t even know that she could get it.. i figured it could be her teeth
teething should never cause a high fever, low grade like 99.5 yes but 101.1 no. But yes babies can totally get UTIs. It’s not uncommon since they’re in a diaper all day and would be one of the first things they look at if the baby has no other symptoms.
Maybe uti, or do you see any possible teeth coming in? Teething can cause a fever even up to 102 or an ear infection. Ear infections sometimes have a fever but no other symptoms. It’s happened to me with my girls.
utis can happen for a numerous amount of reasons. Think when they pee even just a little and you don’t notice, they are sitting in it for a little bit and it can cause this issue
@Amy Ya I thought it was a uti because her fever got higher out of nowhere and she wasn't acting sick and didn't seem like she had any other symptoms of anything and I looked it up and that's what it said but she got strep throat from her cousin because they didn't know he had strep throat until after he was around her and I didn't think she had it because she started getting a fever 9 days after she was around him and didn't seem sick.
Thanks, & Yes she already has 8 teeth & right now i see 4 more coming in. That’s was my immediate thought when i saw them because the heat from the fever feels like it’s mostly in her head/neck but no where else.
My son had this same thing a couple weeks ago, his fever was gone pretty much the next day so I chalked it up as teething even tho no teeth came in yet
I would definitely say uti teething can cause low grade fevers but 101.1 no that’s definitely a UTI I’d definitely take her in.
