Terrible twos is making me feel su!c!dal

My child is going through terrible two stage and its literally sending me over the edge.

It's not her fault, I know that. I love her to absolute bits and I totally understand that she cannot physically help it, shes just going through the motions. It's not "her" that is making me feel this way, its just the things that come with it.

I have struggled with post natal depression, and depression in general from being a young adult. I've recently come off of my anti depressants, as they were making me gain weight and I felt a lot better at the time.

I feel like I've got a constant headache, I don't feel like smiling anymore, my mood is just ridiculous honestly.

I also get minimal help from my partner as he works all the time. Every time i mention how i feel i get shut down. So i just don't see the point. Struggling so much to see a light at the end of the tunnel

It does get better ( a mum of 3, and currently 33 weeks). If you can get sometime to yourself please take it. Even if it's an hour or 2. Take time to calm and relax it's better to do that then to go back to what you felt before.

I would recomend 2 things please seek help to help with depression. There are other options to medication or alternative medications which my work better for you. This may be a trial and error kind of thing but if you find something that helps then it is worth it.
2. You need some time for yourself to care for yourself. I recomend an exercise class because not only is that a scheduled thing you have to sign up for and gets you out of the house. But there is a lot of research supporting regular exercise and links to better mood.
Also your partner helped make your baby and I am assuming wanted a family. He should take responsibility for that.
Working all day is not an excuse not to be a dad.
My husband and I both work full time but we are both still responsible to care for our little boy and to be there for each other. It is a team effort.

@Chloe I am sorry that you get that response. It really boils my blood when partners are like that. Caring for a child and a home is also hard work. And it is not a good example to set that dad can just be a sperm doner and disrespect the person they said they love and want to be a PARTNER to. I don't have the best advice on how to approach the subject ot get him to listen. Bit I have seen this post like your far too many times. Come on partners step up!
