Baby fussing at bottle feeds

My baby is exclusively bottle fed. He’s very used to the bottle, so I don’t think he’s rejecting it. We’ve not changed our habits or our bottles (except size of bottle as he’s eating more).

However, today he was fussing a lot more at the bottle than usual. Constantly turning his head, frequently stopping, etc. He definitely is hungry, as he cues for food. I also make sure to burp him pretty frequently to avoid gas discomfort. So, I’m not quite sure what else it could be.

Any thoughts?

Could he be teething? My baby is sooooo fussy right now pretty sure due to teething. He is still eating ok though (EBF) but I read some babies are uncomfortable eating when teething

Could the flow of the nipple possibly be too slow for him now? I went through a similar issue with my son and switching to the next level nipple flow helped. I think he was frustrated at how hard he had to work to get milk.

I would recommend sizing up on the nipple flow as that’s a sign of it being too slow! We did that awhile ago and it cured the problem instantly
