I'm taking themš¤, first time mum

Iām taking one tomorrow. Iām a FTM, but everyone in my family encouraged me to enroll in one

Hi ladies how much are you paying for it? My hospital provides one at a cost but only the express one is left and its 6 hrs long iam dead!

Iām first time mom and Iām not taking them

I took a Bradley class. The biggest benefit for us was opening up conversations that we might not have thought to otherwise have.
I do feel more prepared than I did before. I think I could have found the information online for free, but I liked having an in person class and scheduled time with my husband to think about baby.

Ftm, and I'm taking the one provided by my hospital, it's a 6 week class for like $65 and I start on 6/13

I took one! Some of the info is really helpful. The diagrams made me a little nervous but it was nice to know the signs of labor and what happens at the hospital plus tips for after.

Yes

I just signed up for one. Itās 2 sessions 2.5 hours each. Also taking a newborn care class. Free through Kaiser.

my hospital provides the case as part of the birth if you are birthing there. But the class is from 9am-3pm š«

I highly recommend! FTM and it is beneficial for not just us but dad too!!!

Yep! Hubby and I took the Bradley Method class together, it was super helpful especially for him and we made some really great friends there who had babies within months of us, it was/is nice to have people in my circle who are in the same phase of life with me.

Baby classes, yes. Birthing classes, my husband and I decided not to. There are so many resources online and we feel like itās really going to be what it will be when the time comes lol

there is lots of stuff online but whatās nice about birthing classes is that other people may ask a question you didnāt think of at the moment that will be beneficial for birth. Plus a FTM most likely doesnāt know everything to look up. I know parents who havenāt taken it just a personal opinion i think itās very beneficial!

Wait, im stupid. A baby class and birthing class are different? Lol now idk what all my class offers, it's just called "from belly bump to bassinet"

youāre not stupid, weāre all learning! I looked up what might be your class and it says āa condensed version of the 6 week classes which consist of education aspects of labor, delivery, and newborn careā

We just finished a 4-week course that was two hours each session, found it really helpful to learn information and ask questions.

There's a lot you can do online. I'd recommend taking one that focuses on the type of birth you plan to have, whether natural, medicated or c-section. Or even better, one that goes over all of those options. My husband and I have done My Essential Birth class online. I loved it.

Iāll definitely be looking into this, thank you!
