With our current climate I’m very distrusting and I’m very picky about what entertainment I expose my son to. We have never watched Ms. Rachel and I make no plans on changing that. We watch Super Simple Songs, Hey Bear, Bear in the big blue house, veggitales, Bluey, and occasionally Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. For the amount of tv time we spend I find that this is more than enough variety

love ms rachel.
the pride videos were posted on tiktok. no toddler should be on tiktok.
all her other content is completely kid appropriate and educational

We love Ms. Rachel, the learning content is great. I think people keep forgetting that she's just another person on YouTube, she has a right to free speech and is allowed to share her feelings on social media just like any of us. She's not being broadcasted or anything, watching her is 100% a choice and something you have to go out of the way to do, so I don't understand why some parents are practically protesting her- if you don't like it then don't watch it, simple as that. I don't like Paw Patrol, I don't like all the messages it sends to kids, and so we don't watch it- you'll never see me bashing it online and screaming for it to be removed off of platforms lol. Not everything is for everyone and that's okay, what's not okay is all of the hate sent her way.

Why is this an issue now when the message was sent in 2023

Her personal beliefs are none of my business. Her YouTube videos are educational and helped my son learn to talk, that’s all I care about. I will continue to let him watch her YouTube videos while I shower or get something done 🤷🏼♀️

Lmao this is a controversy? 🙄 I thought something actually happened. She’s the best and one of our favorite programs. She’s actually educational compared to that cocomelon bull and everything else. Idc that she’s inclusive. Should be quite obvious she would be. I don’t dislike sesame street for celebrating other holidays that don’t align with my line of thinking or religion. There’s so much worse to worry yourself with.

I am more likely to support someone if they support marginalized groups of people.
The fact that someone supporting pride month is still seen as “controversial” is exactly why we need pride month…

The video was targeted at adults, not children. You’d assume adults are grown enough to just accept people and move on. If it doesn’t negatively impact you or any child, just shhh and move on.

I don't know. I don't mind the guitar person, but if she does bring Dylan on, my kid won't watch that episode

We love Ms Rachel

Don't have an issue with her supporting pride, my issue is that Dylan mulvaney is not a kid friendly character who makes kid friendly content. So if after watching him sing with Ms Rachel and my daughter sees his face on another YouTube video to click on it, she could possibly be engaging in content that is not appropriate for her age or our homes values.
If it was someone that was part of the lgbtq community that made kid friendly content I wouldn't have an issue.
For context I'm avoiding as much screen time as I can right now so Ms Rachel has yet to be on here but her cousin watches her

then why add your opinion if you’ve never seen the content. she has never talked about anything like that on her youtube channel. only on tiktok where only adults should be consuming her content.

I think whether you have seen the content or not, as parents it's our job to be aware of what is going on culturally and to make a decision if that is right for our kids. Just cause doesn't have TV at her house doesn't mean there aren't other places in her kids life where they might be exposed.
I am not going to be exposing my children to gender theory because it's not age appropriate if they see it out in the world and have questions of course I will answer them.

you’re missing the whole point. the question was about ms rachel and what she said on tiktok. if valeria hadn’t seen the content then why should she be voicing an opinion on something she knows nothing about?
the question was about ms rachel. not what other exposure kids get.
ms rachel doesn’t explain gender theory. they sing nursery rhymes and teach colors, shapes, numbers, counting, letters and phonics. and plus kids don’t understand gender til around 5. which is older than ms rachel’s core audience.
if you don’t want your child clicking on another dylan video then monitor the tv and what’s being consumed by your children.

this is the Dylan that she's bringing on? 💀

right but the biggest reason I think there is controversy is because she invited Dylan mulvaney who sang about normalizing the bulge 🤢
She had the exact same message last year and faced no backlash from it. So I do believe that inviting mulvaney onto the show is the issue. I also believe that we are all entitled to an opinion whether you agree with that or not, this is going to affect her decision if she gets a TV in the future and is trying to to decide what to watch.
Also social media consumption is happening not just on the TV but phones and tablets and lots of children are exposed to more things due to this. Average age of first intro to porn used to be 12 but there is an increasing amount of children being exposed before the age of 10. Yes this is a parenting issue but it's also a technology issue.
yes he was doing the days of girlhood series on TikTok and went viral during his transition

We love Ms Rachel and support her. My family and friends are part of the LGBTQ community so our kids will know early on in a child appropriate way that Love is Love. Some families have 2 moms. Some have 2 dads. Some have only 1 parent. It’s very important in my household that they understand especially because my first baby was donor conceived and her half siblings come from LGBTQ families.

I think the hate Ms Rachel is getting is insane. What a sad world we live in!

the comment she made was from february 2023. so i don’t understand what the issue is over a year later
and yes obviously social medial consumption is done on more than the tv. but i still stand by what i said. monitor your kids. there’s no reason their ipads/ipod/iphone shouldn’t have parental controls and restrictions. their apple id should be connected to yours.
if you restrict key words and websites there’s a lot less likelihood of your child consuming inappropriate content.
if you’re giving your giving your child the PRIVILEGE of technology, then you as a parent, should not only make yourself familiar with what they are using, but set limits, restrictions, and monitor their usage and history.
my kids aren’t old enough for this, but their father and i have come to the agreement that when it comes time, we have full access to their phones

Oh no, someone being inclusive and supportive of various types of families in the vicinity of kids. Can't have that! 🙄

I don't care really. Her statement was made on TikTok not on the show so most children aren't even going to see it. Even if they could see it, Ms. Rachel saying "Happy Pride Month" isn't going to turn your kid gay.

How on earth is wishing people well a controversy!? What a bizarre world

“Controversial” to raise funds for children in need, being bombed day in and day out? We support Ms Rachel and love the content and cadence of her shows. She’s educated, a mom herself, compassionate, and is helping thousands of children.

why is a woman saying happy pride causing controversy. people act like gay people do not live and breathe and walk the earth. it’s not like she said let’s all be gay. as a parent I will be teaching my child about the dynamics in families. you can teach your child that some families have two moms without discussing the depths of sexuality. Children aren’t idiots they’ll see it in the world without mothers shielding them from an educational YouTuber. people take simplicity and make it complex for absolutely no reason.

We love her! The only controversial thing that she says (for me anyway) is that an elephant says "hawooo" 🤣

I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t the only one feeling like it was a waste considering there is a lesbian on the show. To me it doesn’t bother me bc at the end of the day shes singing songs that my 6 month old likes…ms Rachel will continue to be on in my household

And my daughter has an aunt and godfather that’s a part of the LGBTQ so either way she’s gonna learn about it sooner or later🤷♀️

I'm fairly certain jules goes by they. But it's never really been pointed out, just kind of there. I agree tho her social content is for adults not children, so idk why people even care. Most brands support pride these days so if you boycott one, you should boycott them all and just live a sad beige product free life lol

As mentioned above, I don’t think the issue is what she said this year cause she said pretty much the last year. But my biggest concern is having Dylan on the show. I don’t want my daughter being family with him and engaging with his other content etc . Definitely no need to have him in the show

Love her and love that she shares the same views as me.

if you have age appropriate YouTube settings this won’t be an issue

yes she did black history month. not sure about the others

WOOOOOAAAAAHH DID I MISS SOMETHING SHE HAD DYLAN ON HER SHOW??? WHEN ???😵💫

she has not had him on yet as far as I know but she did invite him on to her show because she would love to sing a song with him. I personally don't find it very appropriate, I think kids are very perceptive and I don't want to have to answer the question of why that lady kind of looks like a man kind of sounds like a man, unless we're in a public space and we run into somebody that's trans and my kid has questions and then absolutely I'll answer but I don't need to expose them to that yet.

@Brooke I agree. If she brings him on my son will definitely not be watching her further. I don't care too much about saying happy pride tho I do think it's weird for a baby and toddler channel. But I don't care too much. But bringing him on the show is Waaaaaaayyyyyy too much and Weird as F to me honestly. These are toddlers and babies. Why does Dylan of all people have to sing my son a song?? About what??

Ms.Rachel is a teacher if she doesn't acknowledge something very common in school like gender issues, feelings and other very basic human things she's in trouble and if she doesn't it's still trouble. So honestly like any teacher she's doing her f***ING job. Just like how a typical school year covers presidents day, valentines day, Cinco de mayo. It's their job to cover this. Just because your famous for doing your job doesn't mean you stop doing it. As far as I'm concerned she's just another teacher just not to a specific school district/site and her "classes" are on YouTube.

Why does it matter what she supports? She makes kids tv for 0-5 years old who are completely unaware of it anyway and watching her videos isn’t going to make them aware? I think it’s pathetic.

Lots of comments showing why pride is still important 🫤 enough with the intentional misgendering already!

if you get a question like that it’s pretty easy just to say that everyone’s different, I mean if a cis woman happens to dress androgynously or has a deep voice isn’t that what you’d say?

yu lost me at Cis I won't lie

Against it ! like really on a baby show?

how else would you like me to describe opposite to trans lol

Love her so much and love that she is showing support for the LGBTQ+ community. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

I don't care. First, she said it on social media and nobody who watches Ms Rachel should be on social media imo. It's just not a big deal. She taught my baby all the sign language she knows so I sticking with her lol.

As a christian mom I don’t personally support pride month but I do have love and compassion for everybody regardless of their sexual orientation or whatever , the only problem I am having with her is how she wants to bring Dylan Mulvaney on the show, he gives me serious predator vibes and I say he because we all can see he is not doing the work to transition into a woman and there is even videos i have seen on his tiktok of him faking injecting himself with hormones also most of his audience is young but I don’t like the propaganda he is pushing, I think if someone wants to transition and they’re an adult then they should do what they feel will make them happy , it’s their body, ultimately I want everyone happy and healthy, but children aren’t capable of making life long decisions like that and that’s where I draw the line, so idk it’s a no from me, all the things she teaches I would rather be teaching my kids myself and we as moms should focus on these core learning things

biological women are just women, if you prefer to be referred to as cis that is fine. But I am just a woman.
Also the most I hope to explain is why Mommy and auntie have art on their bodies and their friends have metal in their faces. I don't think it's appropriate to explain sex and gender to children. But that's just my view, you're allowed to have your own, I just don't agree with you.

I look at it as this if it's such a big deal don't let your child watch that episode at the end of the day miss Rachel has helped a lot of children learn and with this world changing the way it is eventually it's going to be brought up on different shows just don't let them watch that episode you are the parent you are able to make these decisions for them when they are young you know what you want your children to be exposed to or not if you don't like something don't let them watch it. In my opinion my children watch Miss Rachel if I don't like something that she's doing on a specific episode I will not allow them to watch that episode and it's really not a big deal just like if you're on social media you don't like a post keep scrolling but that's just my opinion

why do you think she would be explaining gender and sex to 2 year olds? like use your brain………

do you really think they’d be discussing gender? be fr. use common sense.

I don't think Ms Rachel would but I dont trust Dylan mulvaney to not take advantage and try something. From what I've seen he is not a genuine human being and will say/do anything for fame.
Also I understand that you're fairly young but there is no need to be rude when our opinions don't align with yours.
