Razor burn help please. I’m at my breaking point.

I have really bad razor burn when I shave, to the point where I stopped shaving for a really long time. I’ve been confined to pants and I’m going to North Carolina next week. I shaved this week as well because the temps have been 90+ degrees and I’ve been dying. I’m prescribed clindamycin for the bumps which helps but my doctor is no longer able to prescribe it so I’ve been savoring my last little bit that I have left. What do you guys do to prevent and treat terrible razor bumps? For reference my hair is just as thick as a man’s beard. This is why my bumps are so bad. Please help me. Natural remedies are definitely a plus.

I find sitting in the bath first helps to soften the skin/hair but also quite vigorously exfoliating at least twice a week stops the irritation. I couldn’t shave my legs until recently when I started doing this and now my legs stay smoother for longer and I don’t wanna rip my skin off with razor burn. I’d also invest in a good razor and cream combo. I subscribed to Estrid and they’re really good but that’s made a huge difference for me at least.

I use Tend Skin after I shave and everyday following. My razor burn is so bad too! I have to avoid all lotions on my legs except Vaseline
