Advice for being overdue

Morning all,

Looking for some advice. I am 40 + 4 today and no signs of labour apart from bump dropping even more 2 days ago.

I had my final growth scan yesterday which showed normal growth. I have to go back to the hospital on Sunday (when I'll be a week 'overdue') to speak to a registrar about birth planning. I just know they will push for induction again. I've said no 3 times already. I declined a sweep yesterday but would consider finding out what my cervix is up to at this appointment.

Has anyone been in this position? When discussing induction, medics don't inform you of the risk vs benefits, so how can it be informed consent thay you're giving? What did you do in this situation?

Thanks for reading.

Hi! I just listened to the birth_ed podcast called ‘Induction of Labour with Dr Sara Wickham’ it’s really good. Might help you know how to decline induction if that’s what you really want.
I’m currently 40+2 and declining every time they try and talk about induction. It’s hard though! Baby and me are both healthy so I don’t really see the benefit of induction.
