Hi all, taking my 4 month old on his first train journey in a couple of weeks… any tips esp re changing and breastfeeding?
We’re also going to go to a museum and spend a few hours there - will put him in his carrier but not sure what to expect. Anxious about where he’ll sleep during the day or end up being overtired….

I’ve taken my 2 month old to London and Brighton on the train (live near Gatwick). I just feed him on the train when he wants it or I’ve stopped in a coffee shop for a break and feed him there. I usually have on a wrap carrier because that’s how he likes to sleep but I do take his carry cot to put him in and I also change him in that if I can’t find somewhere suitable. If you don’t want to take the pram, I would just take some disinfectant wipes and changing mat to use in the public toilets. You might be able to find facilities where you’re going (Brighton mall had an amazing changing room and breastfeeding room that I was not expecting!)
You definitely get anxious thinking about all of this leading up to the day but once you’re there, you just do what needs to be done to make it work and to keep them happy x I hope you have a fun day out! I’m sure you deserve it 🫶🏻
Thanks so much Tasha for the helpful advice 🤗🤗
