Car seat for plane

Does anyone have an example of how you packed your car seat to check in on a plane? The car seat seems massive and I don't know whether to put it in its box which takes up even more space, or should I just get a bag of it?

I didn’t pack it at all. Just gave them the seat as is

We got a big bag for ours and then packed it with nappies and swim nappies x

You don’t need to take a car seat they sit on your lap and they give you an extension on your seatbelt for child, unless you’ve bought them a seat on the plane they sit on the seat as it is. I really wouldn’t take a car seat🙈😑

I think she means for a car when they arrive, not for the actual plane ha 😆

We put nappies and towels in/around and put it in a bubble wrap. Tied with bungee cord and in a bag, which you can carry on your back, super helpful with all the other stuff. Been on 4 flights like that, no issues
