What's best calpol or nurofen?

My son is starting to get a cold and I'm unsure which is best to use? I've currently got a terrible flu so want to make sure he doesn't get as bad

I always use calpol first and if that doesn't seem to work I use ibuprofen (nurofen) an hour after

You can use both if he’s really bad, 1 hour apart though! So if you give him calpol, wait an hour then give nurofen.

I would say calpol for any fever or pain relief like colds, nurofen more for teething and if calpol doesn’t work x

It won’t stop him getting it as bad - but will just relieve symptoms. Either will work .

Thank you everyone, as long as he doesn't feel as crap as I do I don't mind😅

I find nurofen works so much better.. they tend to use nurofen at the hospitals too for a fever as my LG has had it

I alternate calpol and ibuprofen.. give calpol first and then 3 hours later ibuprofen
