Just saw Phillip Avent and Dr. Brown bottles both leach microplastics when heated and those have been the ones we use. Any recs on new ones???

Most all plastic bottles will leak microplastics. We use the glass Dr browns

We use a glass bottle that’ll sit with just water in it in the bottle warmer. Once the babies are ready to eat we pour the warm water into their Dr. Browns bottles and mix the formula from there. It doesn’t heat the bottle enough to risk plastic issues and the bottles helped immensely with their colic.

Everything plastic leaches microplastic. ESPECIALLY when heated.
We use dr brown glass bottles and when we heat them, we take out the green inserts.

what about when you sterilize the green insert? I’m not sure what to do about that aspect

my bottle sterilizer seemed to make a burning smell linger on them so I boil everything for 5 minutes. We all have microplastics in us. We just have to do our best to minimize

I use the Nuk anticolic bottles… I got them from Walmart and they have a Y nipple, so good for 0-6 months and perfect for thicker formula like enfamil AR

When our babies get of age, I saw a video of a mom saying she sends her kids to school with 18/0 stainless steel water bottles, instead of plastic. That’s the highest grade stainless steel on the market

Why are we heading the bottle itself?

I use the Boon Nursh bottles when she takes one. But I don't heat it in the bottle.

What about breastmilk? Formula can be made out of the bottle. But when i store breastmilk in bottle or even pour it from (plastic) storage bag - what option do i have?

you could heat up in a glass bottle then transfer to a plastic one! Or let the breast milk sit out for a bit until its able to be poured (still cold) into a glass bottle you can warm up if you don’t want to warm the milk up in the plastic bag

We use Boon Nursh bottles as well. They are silicone

I just Philip advent glass bottles and love them

We use the Phillips glass bottles and love them!

The glass ones!!! I used the avent glass since we started bottle feeding and not only are they safer than the plastic theyre so much cleaner

I pour the oz of water I need and then I reserve a partial amount and microwave it. I mix the formula to sterilize and then add the other cool water back to it.

you heat the formula at a high temperature in the microwave to sterilize it??

no, heat the water first. Then add the formula. Once mixed, I add the remaining cool water so there are not hot spots.

ahhh okay

I use the NUK anti colic bottles and they work great for me

me too!
