Phillips/dr browns lawsuit

It has come to my attention that Phillips and Dr brown bottles are going through a lawsuit because of microplastics. These are the ONLY 2 bottles I used. My daughter is 11 months (2 weeks from being one) and I’m wondering if it’s worth getting new glass bottles.
The Dr told me to start weaning her from the nipple bottles at 6 months and I was shocked at how soon he said that. I exclusively pump and any breastmilk given to her in any other form and just thrown and forgotten about if not in nipple ( she likes straws at times but not sippy cups, she hates sippy cups)

Is it actually necessary to wean baby off of bottle at one? I really wouldn’t want her to just throw the sippy/ straw cup and forget about the pumped milk.
I know it’s a process but it seems like such a tough one I’m not entirely ready for at the moment.

I just commented a screenshot of the ones that are affected from the Phillips brand ! I couldn’t respond to your comment with a picture. I don’t think glass bottles are included but I’m not entirely sure.
I’ll definitely be using glass bottles next baby tho!

Could I get a link to the article to share with my spouse?

Honestly I think all plastics do this. It’s horrible for us and the planet.

which is exactly why I want to make the switch to glass. Do you know of any glass straw cups for a one year old ?

All plastic bottles leach micro plastics. A few more months isn’t going to change anything. Up to you on whether you want to find a non plastic bottle

I like pura stainless steel, they have a straw cup, baby bottle and sippy cup top and the tops are interchangeable without having to buy a new cup. And there’s no plastic.

I think the lawsuit part is getting more attention than my actual question lol. When did y’all wean your little one off of nipple bottles and do yall know of any glass straw bottles for baby?

it’s usually around 1, but some people do it earlier. I’ve never seen a glass straw for a baby cup. But most sippy cups have a silicone straw or top.

I phrased that wrong. I meant a glass cup with a straw (that being silicone)
Just trying to stray away from plastics now

going to look those up! Thank you
