Hey! I feel you! I really want to have a genuine connection with some mommy friends where it can develop into lifelong friendship. So I'm open communicate. I'm just not big on texting when it comes to getting to know someone new and in general, I prefer to talk on the phone, compared to texting which is a bit impersonal. So I'm down to have a best friend in the area. 😊
I don't mind the phone. My fingers get tired of texting. I'm in Canton near the hospital. I homeschool and our break days are Sunday and Monday
My biggest road block so far is just having to pay for the app. I’ve seen some people wave but I can’t actually see who. I’m a totally shy mom of 4 who basically has two sets of Irish twins… 13-14 then 8-9… we’re super busy a lot of the time but I still want to see if I can meet moms who are in a similar boat. I’m either too old or too young to hang with most of my kids friends.
Yeah it's not a you thing . Part of it is the times we are in , the other is I don't find the south to be genuinely friendly. I think I've done 2 playdates that didn't go anywhere. And I had two women who we had tell me I seemed too intimidating bc I seem to have it together and and have interests they couldn't imagine having the time for. Then I think my older age and not looking was another moms mention.... Idk
