Baby being around a smoker
My partners step dad has recently started up smoking again. My baby is 6 months old so not a tiny newborn but I still don’t feel overly comfortable with him smoking and then holding her. He smokes outside but it will still be on his hands and clothes, am I being dramatic about it or should I say something? As she’s older now is it less of a risk?

No I completely get this, my partner smokes and I just always ask him to wash his hands before playing with her etc x
You’re not being dramatic at all, I can’t stand the worry about smoke and smokers. I don’t allow anyone who has smoked to hold the baby after that, that’s after standing outside for 30 minutes to let the smoke come out their lungs as well and they have to wash their hands when they come inside. If they’re staying overnight they have to change clothes too. I don’t mess about when it comes to smoking
Me and my partner both smoke we usually wear a sweater so that upon entering from the balcony we can take off our sweater and wash our hands before getting near our daughter. I can still understand your concerns nonetheless
