Dog help asap

Hi I have a newborn baby first few days my dog was absolutely fine. 6 days in when we leave him downstairs for bed he’s barking/howling/crying we go downstairs thinking maybe he needs the toilet but it’s just like he’s being a brat it seems to be getting worse and worse any help suggestions?

Our GSD was doing that, I think it’s they feel they’re being replaced and you’re all going upstairs as a family. We ended up splitting the time until he got used to it, so my fiancé would stay downstairs for a an hour or two then we’d swap etc. then we’d do an hour together etc hope it helps x
