Grunting and straining after 8wks vaccines

Mine went from pooing regularly day and night to bit going for 3 days 🫣needless to say a poonami occurred and she is now every 2/3 days. Asked the HV and it’s apparently normal. As long as they have lots of wet nappies then seems fine. Is she breast or bottle? X

My LO is also I weeks and this has been happening as well! Lots of trapped gas, straining and barely any poos

I also had this in terms of the grunting and it turns out the rotavirus vaccine can cause a bit of discomfort in the stomach - either diarrhoea or the complete opposite and not pooing. Once he had done a poo the grunting completely stopped but it was horrible seeing the discomfort

We were in the exact same boat yesterday after the vaccines, she struggled for ages but she more than made up for it last night 😅

that makes a lot of sense… my LO is definitely going through it today with the RV vaccine.. she’s been able to poo now but vomiting a lot aswell.. does anyone know how long the vomiting will last for?

yes my LO has been pooing a lot today so the straining has stopped but she keeps vomiting lots now and still has belly discomfort! I just feel so sad for her can’t want for it to all pass! 😭😫hope your LO recovers quickly too!!

Mines the same, had her vaccine on Monday and had tummy pain and she’s straining etc. how long will these side effects last?

I’m not sure how long it’s meant to last for but my little one is still suffering with the stomach pain sometimes and crying and screaming a lot.its awful ..just can’t wait for it to end ..how is your little one doing now?
