Yes it’s safe. Pastry is baked so unlikely to have anything raw or unsafe. The key things to avoid are unpasteurised items and raw fish/meats and runny eggs that aren’t non-lion stamped. Generally if things are washed well and/or cooked you are fine. Is there any specific concern you have?

@Lauren it was shortcrust pastry worrying about the egg in it

@Alina because of the egg

That’s ok because cooked egg is absolutely fine which would be the case in baked goods. Eggs are good for you in pregnancy. The only issue with egg is raw/runny yolk because of the chance of salmonella but remember this is only a chance so while advisable not to have them raw/runny because of that risk it doesn’t mean 100% it would make you or baby ill. Also if the eggs are British lion stamped that means the chickens have been immunised against salmonella which technically means you can have them runny. I still cook through just for precaution but it’s ok to have those runny. Many places would use British lion stamped eggs. So between that and the fact pastry is cooked, I wouldn’t be worried at all.
