Walking

My LO is 16 months old & still not walking on his own or standing on his own. We have talked to his doctor and she recommended PT to try to help. He is a big kid for his age.. 30 pounds and 3feet 2inches tall. I’m wondering if anyone else’s LO had this same thing and what you did to help.

I used to nanny a kid who was a big kid for his age and he had the same problem! He ended up going PT and started walking in no time!

My son is almost 16 months and not yet walking without support either.. he can climb stairs, cruise around the furniture, walks with his walker and when we hold his hand. He is 29lbs and about 32 inches. Our pediatrician brought-up PT but we think he should get there by 18 months.. he seems very close - just afraid to let go ☺️

Yeah our son was big too and it took him a little bit to figure it out and then he just got it. Does he stand on his own or pull and and walk around furniture

My daughter is 16 months, 35 inches tall and 22lbs. She tall and skinny and still isn’t walking. She didn’t crawl until she was 15months. We are in PT and she was diagnosed with low muscle tone. Just be patient and celebrate their personal milestones when they come.
