I would say to not start to prepare quite yet be excited. Feel the love do everything you can to make sure that your body is healthy but do not at all start to prepare, especially until at least 12 weeks along can happen at any given point and a lot of scares come along up until 12 weeks.. helps to prevent your stress and all do more research about what can happen within your first trimester

I'm 24 and week 6. This is my first too!!! I have no idea what I am doing either😇😅💜

This will be my third and we won't set up their room till after baby comes. Baby sleeps in your room for so long!

you can get a pregnancy journal to record your symptoms, emotions, life updates, and keepsakes (like the first test or ultrasound!). you can also plan cute announcements for social media or to family if you haven’t yet and are going to! i know some people say not to do too much before 12 weeks which is valid and understandable but for me i feel like not buying things or not getting too excited just wouldn’t really help in the worst case scenario, but of course do whatever you think is best for you! i have a hamper of thrifted clothes already, had it started before i even got pregnant lol. i don’t think it would make a miscarriage more or less hurtful but it is a nice and relaxing way for me to get excited while also staying cost effective! i understand that’s not for everyone though and if you feel like you should wait then you definitely can!! you have lots of time to prepare mama☺️

honestly if you want to prepare do it! that whole “wait until you’re 12 weeks” argument is bullshit. I know women who’ve had great pregnancies but had stillborns. Celebrate every second with your little bean. And if that to you means buying a onesie, do it! Never too early to start prepping. (I bought my daughter’s travel system when I was 6 weeks!)

My auntie bought everything completely set a room up in her house. Now had to storage everything and walk past a room that broke her heart after having a miscarriage with twins . It’s bullshit for people who have it perfect . That’s some weird bitch shit to be a hoe bag about it :)) sorry I guess i understand since miscarriage runs in my family.

love how you assumed I have it perfect? i had 3 miscarriages before having my daughter so I know very well what it’s like. Now you assuming my situation is some weird bitch shit 🤍

this was such a helpful and beautiful response !! i’m going to go pick out a journal and go thrifting tomorrow all thanks to you 😘

I would also recommend taking a prenatal vitamin daily, reading a book like “Bumpin” and scheduling your first OBGYN visit if you haven’t already! 😘
