Changing Station

Omg I feel this. I feel like I’m fighting a feral badger every time I change her diaper. We are still using her changing station and changing pad, but now I keep books and toys right by it so when she starts going nuts and fighting me I can try and distract her. It’s not fool proof but it’s better than nothing

Never. I had 2 and never used them lol. I changed him on the bed most of the time & still do 🤦🏽‍♀️ we use a lay down changing pad at other peoples houses but thats it. We put a toy or something he likes in his hands. He likes actually playing with the clean diaper so we give him an extra diaper to hold while we change him lol.

Still using ours at 11 months but also sometimes change him on the ground too. Almost ALWAYS need something to hand him as a distraction. A paci, his butt cream, the spatula 🤣 also I found singing to him stalls him too! The rolling & escape attempts are sooo annoying LOL

I just change her where ever and if I need to I put my feet on her forearms so she can’t grab but that doesn’t stop the rolling

I literally have to grab anything around me and throw them at her face just to distract her for a few seconds 😂

I still use mine and she does way better on it then on the ground lol but I let her hold a diaper or something to distract her but I also just tell her no when she tries to roll and she listens well

I’ve been transitioning to standing diaper changes (only for pees) but it’s still a struggle with him running away. We also cloth diaper so I’m usually changing his diaper every 1.5-2 hour so it’s often just a pee.

Preschool teacher and mom of two here 🙋🏽‍♀️ try books, put posters on the ceiling or wall, singing, and being silly will work wonders. My son loves when I pretend to smell his feet and make a face and go ‘PU stinky feet!’ 🤪
