Conceiving after MC

Sorry for your loss, I had a missed miscarriage baby measured 11+4 found out at 12 weeks scan baby had no heart beat. I’m now pregnant again and been treated no differently to my first healthy pregnancy. At my 12 week scan this time they were complete oblivious to why I was so anxious. I have had a few extra scan privately to help reassure me.
I would definitely arrange an appt with your gp or whoever prescribes your medication to discuss falling pregnant when ready to try 💞

So sorry you're going through this, its heartbreaking even if you didnt know until experiencing the bleeding. Usually you'd contact the EPU if you're bleeding so they can scan you, as they will want to check the pregnancy has all come away and you're not left with any "product" inside (sorry that's a horrible term but it's the one they tend to use). As your loss was 7 weeks ago that's quite a while ago but I would still call the EPU and let them know what happened, so you can be reassured as you can get infections if your baby is left inside you. And as Tanya said important to let your GP know about the medication if you think that was a factor and insure anything you're prescribed is safe for future pregnancy.

thank you! When it happened I did actually get blue lighted to hospital as I have a blood condition and they initially thought I was haemorrhaging. So they did actually do a scan internally and were able to remove some of the product, they were satisfied what was left would make its own way out. They told me if the bleeding didn’t stop or if I experienced infection symptoms to go back. But thankfully all stopped and I’ve been well. So I think that’s reassuring.

I’m happy with the treatment I received in my last pregnancy, my midwife organised an early scan at the epu due to my health condition so that’s no worry. I just wasn’t sure if they’d look at my pregnancy overall as some sort of risk now due to the MC. But you’ve both reassured me. Thank you! Xx
