So I have a 3 year old son and my daughter is 3 months now. I love my daughter to pieces but sometimes I feel like she stole from the love that I was giving my son. All that love I was giving him is now spread in 2 pieces since she came and that makes me feel kind of sad and I think this is the reason that I still cant have a connection with my baby. I feel very bad saying all this but Im just trying to see if there is any other mama who can relate?

You need to try to incorporate your son into your daughter's care. I ask my 2yo if she can get pacifiers, blankets, bibs, or hand me a bottle for her sister. When I'm feeding the baby, she wants to climb up next to me and cuddle. When little sissy is down for a nap, big sissy gets food, cuddles, or whatever she wants while Mama isn't distracted. She asks to 'hold' her sister, it's basically just us holding the baby in her lap. She gives little sissy kisses. As long as they're being monitored and he's being gentle, let your son help.
I wish that would be possible. My son is autistic and nonverbal. He doesnt want anything to do with his sister

I felt the exact same way. My baby is 3 months next week and it’s definitely been an adjustment with my toddler as well. I felt like mommy to my toddler and babysitter to my newborn 😓 obviously I love her so much but it was really hard splitting that attention from my first born and it made me feel so bad that I was having to redirect it towards new baby. More recently I’ve been feeling a lot more connected to my newborn. Maybe try thinking of it as your heart is growing to include both instead of you’re splitting it to give to both. You just met the new baby it takes time to form those connections. Give yourself some grace. You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way
Thank you so much 💗
