Anyone else’s toddler throwing tantrums constantly over the littlest of things?? I know that it’s normal for this stage but I feel like I can’t do right for doing wrong, anytime we go anywhere it’s a screaming match over something. I feel exhausted with it and Ive honestly been crying constantly because I feel like I have to be doing something wrong! (I’m also pregnant with my second so it’s making it so much more harder as well) not looking for judgment just wondered if anyone was in the same boat

Yes. Tantrums are hectic, but... My LO has improved sooooooo much since I made changes recommended to me by her montessori nursery.
They mostly have tantrums because they feel they are not in control, so here is what I've put in place:
1. A WHAT'S NEXT board, bought on Shein. Together we plan out the morning routine, then am, nap routine, the afternoon, bed routine.
2. I give her choices all day long. Do you want to wear these pj's or these ones? Eat this or that?, go to park or playgroup, play with this or that etc. So she feels she is making all the choices.
3. If there are tantrums, I wait a little bit. Then come to her level. In soft voice I say, please look at me, breathe... Takes some time to get them to look.
Then I'll explain for example, I know you don't want to put on clothes, but do you want to go outside and play? Yes. Well, to play outside, you need clothes because the sun will hurt you if u ou don't ok. Ok. And then I can put clothes on.
.

Or, I'm sorry, I know you wanted that remote, but you can't play with it. I want to!!
So then I take their fav toy and say, ok, you can play with the remote and I play with bunny. Nooooo. Ok, let's swap. You take bunny and I take the remote. OK.
Lots of it is only because they don't understand why or why not and then feel turmoil and out of control.
But explaining to them everything in a soft voice, St their level makes it sooo much easier.
Also recognising when they are tired or hungry as there will be more tantrums.
I say, ooohhh you are rubbing your eyes, you must be tired. I'm not tired!!! Well you are yawning too, so you are very tired. No I'm not!
If you yawn and rub your eyes and you're not nice to mommy, then I know you are tired because mommy does the same.
And then I'll start yawning.
And sometimes I say I'm going to sleep now too because I'm sooo tired. So you sleep in your bed and I'll go sleep in mine OK. OK

So it's just basically making the feel like they are in Co trolover everything and really explaining everything to the in as much detail as possible.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
