Water broke at 39 weeks but no contractions

My water broke one day before 39 weeks, and labor hasn't started. I haven't felt any contractions. Hospital I went to recommended i can wait for labor to start naturally, or they can also induce me within 24 hours. Has anyone had any similar experiences? What are your thoughts on induction ? So far, my pregnancy has been low risk. Are the induction successful ? I want to do what's best for the baby at this point

I would avoid to get inducted, I prefer to have a natural one, but is up to you

I was low risk and water broke at 40+3 I got an infection within hours and needed antibiotics. He had HIE when he was born. It was a perfect storm of things that happened but now I say get induced get things move ASAP once your water breaks since you never know how your body may react

Fingers crossed your contractions start. My waters broke 6pm, by 3am I could feel strong contractions and labour continued naturally baby was born around 9pm just over 24hrs from waters breaking.

It’s risk of infection that’s why there induce, my waters broke and same no contractions was induced with the hormone drip and went from 2cm-6cm Ina few hours, then to 9cm within 15 mins and was only pushing 15 she was out! Only on gas and air, loved my labour and birth wouldn’t change a thing! Not all inductions are bad!

Thank you all so much. I decided to get induced, although contractions were horribly fast but in the end I delivered my healthy baby girl within 7 hrs after getting induced 💖💖
