Cleaning pump

When pumping do you have to sterilise the pump after each use? Seems excessive if I’m pumping 8 times a day! Can I sterilise once a day then just use hot water to rinse in between? (Exclusive pumping) thanks!

i pumped exclusively for 2 years for my b

baby girl. i use to pump 6-7 times a day in the initial months. i only sterilized parts once a day and cleaned parts in soap and hot water after every use, then let them dry completely before next use
