14mo just ran into the other room and bonked her head, not sure what on, but she was crying and immediately had a raised purple lump on her forehead… do I just keep an eye on her and watch her symptoms? She’s fine otherwise but I’ve read concussion can take up to 48 hours. It’s approaching her bedtime so I don’t want to drag her to A&E unnecessarily just for them to say the same thing…

Have you put ice on it to get the sallow down put some butter on it that will help it go down

I would lovely, it's a good thing the lump and bruise has come straight out.
By all means still seek advice from 111 but yeah, we did an A&E trip a while ago as our babe was 2 months post operation on her skull and had a nasty fall. I expected all sorts due to that but no, 2 neuro checks (which you can do at home, hand and feet reflexes, no sickness or dizziness, check pupils are equal) and it's fine to let them sleep now if it is time to sleep or in a situation they usually would. For example my babe always used to fall asleep in the car, she did on the way but I kept stopping her, didn't need too and I felt awful 🤣 however if sleepy at an unusual time, then that's one of the checks too 💜
Tbf our children's a&e were great and checks were done in good time but waiting to get discharged took like 70% of our time there 🤣🤦♀️xx

Since you are unsure how this occured, I would take LO in tobe evaluated. Better safe than sorry.
Bumps happen and she's probably okay. But since you are unsure how this occured it's better to be safe.
Also, weird but butter helps with bumps and bruises.

Thank you all! Tried the butter and it really did help. Called 111 and awaited a call back… which never came 🙃 then today she tripped on the patio and chipped her front tooth 😭 then banged her head this afternoon… they say it comes in 3s 🥺

I am glad the butter help! And sorry she got injured again 😥
I feel like the toddler stage causes the grey hairs. Have to be on our toes because everywhere they walk is a hazard zone 😅 even if fully baby proofed... They find away. 🥴😩
