Crusty belly button
Yesterday I noticed what I THOUGHT were crumbs in my belly button. I cleaned it out, but today I had it again, I don't know if it's dry skin, or what it is but it's gross and it smells like idk how to explain it, maybe like piercing smells?
Anyways, I cleaned it out again and it looks all red and irritated.
Is this normal? Anything I can do? I feel like a freak 😂

Do you have a piercing? If not I suggest waiting a few more days to see if it goes away. If not maybe just give your doctor a call, doesn’t hurt just to be safe. I don’t think it’s anything serious could just be a little infection or something or maybe you got a cut in your belly button and that’s dry puss 🤷🏻♀️

@amanda I had a belly ring years ago, it's fully healed, but you can still see the hole. I've got an appointment with my midwives on Tuesday, maybe I'll mention it. It's just been so weird!

This used to happen to me, do a thorough disinfectant with hydrogen peroxide then use olive oil and a q tip to remove any gunk, then wash normally with soap and water.
This works every time I have this gunk in there
