Cry, eat, sleep, repeat

My little one wakes up from a nap and straight away starts full on crying until he is fed and then eventually falls asleep. He very rarely, apart from the morning really, has times when he’s just chilled and awake. Is this normal? He’s 1 month old🤷‍♀️

Yes! I would say my baby slept most of the day until almost 2 months old she started having short wake windows

Ok that’s good to know. You see so much stuff about wake windows and he rarely has them.

Yes my little one is 6 weeks old and he is the same 🙈 he has 0 chill

So hard as he falls asleep on me then I try and transfer him to his cot/ bassinet and 9 times out of 10 he wakes up and the process starts again 🤦🏼‍♀️

I didn’t know it was normal either I guess it is tho:/ mine didn’t get better til about 3.5 months doc says it was colic but it’s horrible you just want them to be okay.. it gets better

I wondered this too. My girl sleeps a lot and has small wake windows. Lately she’s been getting overtired as she’s trying to stay awake longer and I’m having to swaddle her to let her know she is ok to sleep.

Yes I’d say mines definitely awake longer than he used to be and it’s not just crying.

Mine still does this at night only and he’s 11.5m
