My 2.5 year old is the same. No matter how many times I put it on he will kick it off 😩 He even hates blankets on him when he was little
He’d let you know if he was cold - my little boy will call me to ask me to put it back on him x
My son was like this for years! I would suggest just making sure he has on a vest underneath his pjs or thick pjs so he’s warm and wait till he wants to wrap up in it! I was always so worried he’d be cold but I found after a while if / when he was he would just pull it on again (even though they’re little they often will be aware of their body temp and put on the blanket / duvet etc if they need it) x
I'm not sure if I'm right in saying this, but if you leave it off, wouldn't it help him learn to put it on himself again when he's cold?
He'd wake if he was cold, I'd leave him
Like others have said, he’ll wake if he’s cold! Unfortunately, it takes them a little while to learn! My 5yr old has only learnt to do it in the last 6-12 months x
Tuck the duvet cover in side ways, under the mattress.
Our little boy is exactly the same I just leave it off now!
