Is anyone on ozempic for weight loss ? If so how were you able to get it ? My doctor isn’t really much help . I understand what it’s for but I believe that I may have PCOS and I’ve read that it can also benefit that . She told me to talk to my ob so I will definitely give that a try as well but I just wanted to here if anyone else has got it

Before I hot pregnant, I was on wegovy which is ozempic just a different name. Your doctor prescribes it if they don’t feel comfortable then they send you to an endocrinologist who will do a consult then prescribe if necessary. If you have thyroid issues then they will not prescribe it.

Forgive me for what im about to say but unless you NEED it don't take weight loss drugs.. In order to be healthy you need to live a healthy lifestyle, and when you live a healthy lifestyle you will loose weight. It's not easy at all to live a healthy lifestyle considering I am now on my second weight loss journey myself, but all you need is dedication and a little time. You got this!

Ozempic is not a weight loss drug, it’s an insulin regulating drug. Weight loss is just one of the side effects. And there is no proof of it helping those with PCOS.
The risks outweigh the benefits in every way possible.

That’s just my opinion as a nurse
