Moms with a missing parent

Hi moms I know this isn’t mom related but need advice. so for so many years I’ve been wanting to find a peace of me that is missing which is my dad. My mom left my dad due to issues they both had which is there business not interested in there drama. Due to the reason I think I didn’t have a dad was because my mom held a grudge and wanted to get back at him for what he did so she kept me from him and I never met him. He doesn’t even know I exist, he thinks my mom ended up losing the baby (me). I know people makes mistakes and I know there’s both sides to everything and honestly I don’t care what happened to them it wasn’t my fault that’s there business and they are grown adults and should of looked beyond that. I really want to meet my dad but I don’t know anything about him and my mom won’t tell me anything she hates him. She says she’s forgiven him but speaks with hate and makes it about herself: I know I’m 30 years old and he might have a family or kids and might not even want to know me but I just want to know where I come from how he looks. I don’t know. Is there any ways I can find him with my dna? Like a small test that shows my information and will connect with someone that has tooken a dna so they find us that way. I know it sounds dumb. I have no pics of him and the only one my aunt secretly gave me is the side of him and blurry. No sure if there’s a fb pages where people help to find parents or how I would find him

My mom found 3 of her siblings by doing 23andMe. You send in a DNA sample (you spit in a tube), and the app notifies you of any relatives you have who have also done it. If your dad never has, you won't find him that way unless he does it too. My mom spent her whole life looking for her 3 adopted siblings and couldn't believe she found all 3 of them by doing that! If he has done it, he will also get a notification from the app or website that you did it and you're his daughter. Good luck!

I was gifted Ancestry.com and I connected to my great aunt which helped me to discover my biological grandfather. My dad was adopted. My biological grandfather died a few years after I made this discovery and before I had the opportunity to meet him. My dad died in a car accident a few months ago. You never know how much time you have with people. I say start looking for connections to you dad now and do your best to meet them in person before you don’t have that time anymore . God bless you!
