I don’t know what to do with this child…

She can’t sit up on her own, rolls one way and gets stuck(yet it’s my fault), gets bored so fast, and I guess she thinks she has mastered tummy time because she wants no part of that anymore.😭 what do I do 😭😭 she only wants to cat nap so after a 30 minute nap she’s ready to go again until bedtime. I am exhausted now.😂 please help with some 4 months plus activities. I’m scared to do this over again tomorrow 🥴😂

Walks, getting out of the house, different rooms in the house, change of scenery. Holding and flying around on their tummy. Looking in mirrors! I've seen placing them in front of the washing machine suggested, wish I had tried that myself. 😂 Mine I used to put on the counter next to me in her bouncer, give her a toy, and she would watch me wash dishes or clean or just make food for myself. I put on music and we would sing, or dance together. If baby is ready for it, you could try short periods in a supportive seat to give her a new perspective. Keep doing tummy time - you will be glad later. So many innocuous things fascinate them at that age, you really just have to be creative. And that phase does go by fast - it gets a little easier as they learn to sit up and can play with toys. Then comes the "wait, I can sit but I can't MOVE" frustration. 😅

It’s the four month regression why she’s only napping for half an hour. When she wakes up try putting her back to sleep. I used to make my daughters lunch time nap in the pram as I could get her to nap for longer in it so I knew she was getting some okay sleep. I think I introduced screen time at this age too as you’re right, it is exhausting. She would also have a really good nap after swimming. Also, basically all babies hate tummy time but it’s important for them so just keep at it. I put some toys for her to grab in a baking tray with some water in, got that crab that moves side to side from tiktok, went to a tummy time class. I started a routine too so I knew 6.30pm came round I’d run her a bath and let her spend some time in there before bed!

With sleep I would get your little out in the pushchair for plenty of walks I used to it with myne out all time when they was 4 months and it used really help I would always get good nap out of them afterwards 🥰 what about putting them on a baby play matt and find some different things you can hook over top of the play matt my girls used love that at 4 months and also lights you can get projector light that puts shapes on the wall you could turn the lights down and just create a sensory session for your baby and that keeps there mind busy then hopefully might help with the sleep 🤷‍♀️ not great advice but I guss any better then none ! Good luck ! Ow also another activity that could help with the tummy time is a foil blanket you lay across the floor put baby on it and place her favrouite toys around her or something you think she would find interesting they love it well myne did 😊 but obs don’t leave baby alone on the foil blanket for safety reason I sure your not silly x

Mine is 6 months and still only naps between 25-45 minutes, in the house/pram/car/my arms/wherever. Just in case it isn't 4m regression, just know you're not alone! My baby's cumulative sleep, adding overnight and naps, usually falls between the recommended 12-16 hours in a 24h period so he is still getting enough despite short naps. Good luck! I find that pram walks help for my own mind, even if they don't help baby sleep

Just take her out and do whatever you want to for the day. Supermarket, shops cafe are all interesting and stimulation for them and you won't be clawing your eyes out bored!

I wouldn't advise the baby walkers/jumpers/standing activity stuff or those bumboo floor seat things as they can all cause delays in development (and the floor seats can exasperate hip issues) As much as she hates tummy time, you gotta keep at it, try to give her stuff to look up at to encourage her to lift up on her arms. Try putting her mat in different areas of the house with different toys. In moderation you can use those laid back baby bouncers or slings but ideally the more they are on their belly the sooner they can get mobile and lose that frustration

At that age my son loved water play, taking walks, song time, sensory activities (I got a little light projector which he loved and would fill ziplock bags with different things, he also really liked foil!), baby classes, swimming lessons. Contact naps also were essential

@Alex I personally am not a fan of sitting positioned objects either. We spend the day transitioning from tummy to back but now that you all are saying different parts of the house lol I have to get out of her room😂

@Becca I made a few ziplock sensory bags and she loved it today! Just a few flat toys and water! Thank you so much

@Melissa lol babies are absolutely hilarious but jeez they help you to feel like a circus animal by the end of the day😭🤣
