For what it’s worth, my baby’s acne did stay for what seemed like forever. Then it eventually cleared up. I can’t help much in terms of what to do because i agree seeing our babies with it does not help make us feel any less distressed even if we are told by different parties how normal it is and how it will go away in its own but like you say, it doesn’t seem to bother her.

The one difference all my ill-advised-but-constant googling did tell me when by baby had this was that eczema itches, acne does not.

Also in week 1, my baby also had some blood in her nappy, i was told by a midwife that it’s was pseudo menstruation as she had all sorts of hormones surging through her. She even had mastitis early on (so if you can imagine a baby with boobs 🙃).

One thing i tend to do whenever I see a healthcare professional especially when it comes to babies is ask loads of questions especially hypotheticals (eg if it were X, how would i tell? What would i do?) so i don’t leave with any doubt.

My babies faces, neck and chest have always come out in spots like this, theirs was just sensitive skin and where they were sicking up their milk it irritated and caused spots. They always went away, I just had to keep wiping them with cotton wool and water. My little girl currently has them and they appeared after she sicked up milk so have another bubs whose skin is sensitive.
