Sick Baby
So everyone in my house hold got sick and now my baby sick.. She has bad congestion and her nose is so stuff. I been giving her baby Vicks chest rub, humidifiers in each room, baby organic cough syrup (mommy bliss), Tylenol, nose sucker with baby saline (baby Frida).. I been doing everything every 4 hours. I do her nose sucking every 4 hours. If it’s noticeable snot or boogers I get them out.. She’s got puffy eyes.. Is there anything I’m missing.. ? .. I want to wait til Monday to see if it’ll pass over as she’s not a newborn but I am worried. She just went to the pediatrician a couple days ago for spots on her body from lotion.. now she’s sick 😭 I just don’t know if there something else I can do or is this all I can do?

Lots of extra cuddles and hugs momma! And I recommend if baby is really congested to take them in the bathroom right after you apply your next round of Vicks and steam the bathroom up. That might help her break some of that icky stuff up. But I do think you’re right. If she isn’t running a fever you should try to let her ride it out. If you’re breastfeeding and you were able to collect colostrum before you gave birth I highly recommend a few MLs of that!
Everything your doing keep doing it and get a nebulizer with saline solution(the 3% one). My baby got some kind of virus at 2 months and was just how you described. Our doctor recommended the nebulizer, we got it on amazon and it helped immediately. Normally you need to inhale the entire dose of saline but we just put it on him for 10-15 minutes
Can a pediatrician prescribe a nebulizer with medication?
Yes your pediatrician can prescribe it as well, the machine and the saline solution that it comes with
Thank you! I’m going to talk to someone in the office and see if she can get one.. I been so anxiety filled because she’s already going through the teething faze with a temperature then getting sick.. She isn’t blue around the mouth thankfully as I try to suck the boogers and runny snot out.. I know it’s probably just a cold but again we all had a virus in home so idk.. we got better then all the sudden she’s sick and I Lysol and use germex constantly. I never take her out unless it’s appointments or seeing family.. it just sucks cause she went to the pediatricians Wensday and she was fine and afraid to go back as maybe she caught something there 😭😭😭😭😭
i feel you. when i gave birth everybody in my house was sick. eventually I got sick then the baby got sick. what really helped was the humidifiers (make sure to keep room door closed wherever you have it on) and the saline mist. I hope your baby feels better soon!!
