Cat lovers!!! We have two cats, we just got the second one. Both of our cats need wet food on top of dry food. The new cat tries to steal the other cats,l wet food, not giving him much time to eat it. If we put it in a different room, she’ll just go in there and steal it. Any suggestions on how to separate it and give them both time to eat it? Our first cat doesn’t always eat it all at once.

I had this issue. What worked for us was to place their dry food in a timed feeder. The greedy cat's was timed to go off 1 minute earlier. They got dry food 3 times a day. Having smaller portions meant my older cat would eat everything almost all the time. Wet food was given once at night before I went to bed. Just pick a time of day when you can watch them eat the wet food. I put their dry food in the same room but on opposite ends...Same with the wet food. If my greedy cat was to approach my older cats food I would make a buzzer sound (ant) and then spray him with a water bottle. My cats hate water so this worked great.

Agreed with above pick a time you can watch them eat it. If your older cat doesn’t finish it all put it away anyway and eventually first cat will understand now is time to eat lol. I have 3 cats and one is a total fatty and does the same thing if I’m not watching
