Induction

Hi ladies,
I had my 36 week consultant appointment Thursday and the consultant has booked me in for induction as I am 37 weeks tomorrow. This is due to have GD. He informed me that I would receive a phone call Sunday with a time of when to come in.
What time did people receive a call was it first thing in the morning?
Any positive stories about induction at RBH? No negative stories please. 🙈
Thank you 😊

It depends how busy they are and if there are any beds free. I was called in at 3pm the day after I was planned to go in. Well looked after on the induction ward though. I was there for 24 hours but wasn’t even induced in the end because baby was bum first 😂 good luck 🤞🏼

I received a call around lunchtime telling me that the ward was too busy so wouldn’t be called in on my scheduled day. I told them I was happy to come in any time even if it was through the night (I was already a week overdue!), so they called me about 10pm to come in and my induction was started around midnight. If you’re happy to go in any time like me then let them know! This was beginning of September though so a notoriously busy time for babies 😂
