Before I write this, I am hoping not to get any judgement or hate etc.
I have a 1year old and last Tuesday me and baby daddy decided to have sex (it had been about 4/5 months since we last did) and obviously we didn’t use protection nor was I on the pill (I was on it before but came off like a month ago)
So as I was meant to be due on, I have noticed it hadn’t come yet and so I waited a few days. Few days went and I thought maybe I could be, so I brought a test and the first one was negative but then I took another yesterday and it showed a slight line.
Anyways, I am completely in two set minds. But Truly I moving abit towards just getting rid. Because of my mental health and how it has been with my 1 year old. When I had her, I didn’t really have the straight away bond/connection and took me time to get through it. The pregnancy wasn’t an issues but when giving birth was a-bit more intense, I feel now I’m not sure I want to go through that again.
I am still thinking over my thoughts but also, trying to not over-think it too much.
I was maybe hoping to wait a few more years to and see how it goes everything else.
I don’t know what would be the best option to myself. And would it be wrong if I would choose aboration?

Thank you and yes I will, he already know that I am. But I just don’t know yet. xo

What @Alicia said 100%. Take the time you need, if you were thinking of having another 1 in the future then maybe now is not the worst? All pregnancies can be different and it may not be like your first. It's ultimately your decision and I wish you lots of love through this all ❤️

"just getting rid".... wow. I'm not judging you on your decision but that's some way to talk about an unborn child.

thank you! xo

you kind of are and if you think of it, if it’s under 8weeks then technically it isn’t a full grown baby so to not be pregnant by then, you wouldn’t of lost anything.

she’s about 4 weeks it’s barely anything at this point if she doesn’t leave it too long and just decides fast not that I’m pro that it’s just so so early barley a heartbeat

I get your point on the language used, although you hve to understand that women who go through the thoughts of abortion try not to bond with the being growing. Hence the language used. I had an abortion when I was younger and I had a hard time choosing words in order not to bond with that being.

I don’t feel that’s an overly helpful comment to someone who has expressed they are struggling with their decision and are in a mental health predicament. Someone people phrase things differently but I think this is a very brave and honest post and clearly someone seeking supportive advice and guidance . This isn’t really helpful in that and doesn’t really do anything apart from kick a woman when she’s struggling. I sometimes feel that unless you can contribute in a helpful or supportive way, whilst you are totally entitled to think your opinions and have them, sometimes it’s best not to say anything unless it can be of help?

In my opinion, if you are having doubts and feel like your not ready for a second child just yet, then you are not ready. Listen to your gut instincts. I think it’s better to terminate than regret it later, and maybe even resent your child if things get tough. It’s a tough one though, so definitely take the time to think about it, and consider all the possible outcomes.

I completely understand how you feel. When I had my first, I found it very hard to bond, it was not an easy ride at all. I was in a similar situation and decided to terminate. Don't be hard yourself do what you feel is best. Speak to your partner let him know how you feel.
I now have an amazing 8 year old, a 15 month old and about to give birth this month to my 3rd.

Hi , do I understand correctly you did have sex just last Tuesday? There is still possibility this is just a false positive. Id personally wait couple more days and do an early detection, digital test.
If the pregnancy is confirmed, there isn’t really good or bad decision. And unfortunately noone can tell you what to do. Try to discus it with someone you trust.

yeah I have tested again a week ago now and it’s a strong positive and thanks. I have decided to keep it. 🙂

congratulations I'm happy for you both. If you need any tips advice or just a rant I'm here. It's definitely a roll coaster but a fun one. I due anytime soon, myself with a 15month running around as we speak so please feel free to reach out

thanks! Yeah I just don’t know how it is going to be with two.

Not going to lie I'm a little nervous my self. I had a big back between the first two. I now have a 16 months gap between these two, but I'm excited that they get to grow up together. It will just be a mad house 😂😂😭. You got this Lorraine 💪🏽💪🏽

ahh I see. Yeah could imagine. I’m just gonna see how it goes as I am still early & I feel abit different this time round.

i’m 20 weeks pregnant and have a 16 month old, honestly when i first found out i was the exact same i wanted to get rid! but after speaking to people and not leaving it all to bottle up my partner was supportive and surprisingly very happy, it’s no one else’s decision but your own! i hope your feeling ok because i know exactly how you feel right now ☹️xx

yeah I am okay now thanks. It’s more of the experience I had with my first. I just want things to be different (hoping it will be) and whatnot. And also, wasn’t expecting to get pregnant again soo soon, because I wasn’t sure if I changed my mind with having more children or not. xo

every birth is different some peoples r traumatic some peoples are amazing ! so just know in the back of your mind your second birth could go perfect and the way you want it, i was the exact same i wasn’t expecting to get pregnant i was on the pill and it’s just a huge shock nothing compares to it 🤣, i said i didn’t want another till my first was 4 now look im going to have 2 under 2 🤣

ahh yeah of course and yeah I was on the pill but came off it a month before getting pregnant again (definitely going back on it once this baby comes) I guess these things happen. lol hoping we can get through this. 🙂 xo

honestly I think the first a bit traumatic, we don't know what to expect, and if you had complications etc it can be off putting. Like Ellen said every pregnancy and birth is different and you have a better understanding now you know what to expect. Hopefully this one will be easier for you.

Everytime someone say 2 under 2 I shudder. 😂 We are definitely in for an interesting ride 😂😂
