baby suncream

I weighed up the risk and decided to use suncream on our first holiday. Although we kept him out of the sun ect, I felt it was best to have as an additional precaution. I did lots of research on different creams due to him being younger than the recommended age (4.5 months) and ended up buying Mustela. It’s extremely ‘clean’ and doesn’t contain any nasties!

I live in Florida and didn’t want to risk sunburn so I’ve been using it on my 2 month old whenever we’re out for more than 20 minutes

You can buy a swimsuit that covers the body completely but head, feet and wrists. It gives SPF50+ protection. With some hat you just sunscreen their toes (or just put on socks)

ive got the swim suit shorts and long sleeve top due to nappy change ect although they are very long on his short legs 😂 its uv 50+ im jusrt worried id hate to have hom burnt

You can get SPF50+ sun suits that are basically like swim suits, some come with a hat too, and cover the feet and hands with sunscreen. Using sunscreen a few times on holiday isn’t as dangerous as a sunburn

Oh 100% use sunscreen.
They recommend babies stay out of the sun and also don’t like the use of sunscreen on their skin.

However I know a dermatologist who told me always use sunscreen if baby will be in direct sunlight. People with other children will know you can’t avoid the sun all the time. So the use of sunscreen is far better than baby getting sunburn!
