Poison Ivy
Hi mama’s does anyone know how to get rid of poison ivy quickly? My son has it, and will not stop scratching. I’ve tried oatmeal baths, medication from his doctor and a poison ivy lotion. Any other tips would be appreciated, Thanks

Ive heard salt water baths can help. The reaction comes from the oil of the plant and the salt can help dry it out. Hope your son feels better soon! If he got it on your property, ive had great luck pulling up poison ivy with gloves/long pants/longsl sleeves on without issue. https://blueridgeschool.org/herbal-remedies-for-poison-ivy/
We have put castor oil on the spots and have had good luck with reducing the itching
thank you so much for the link. Fortunately enough he didn’t get it from around the house. His dad works around grass all day and didn’t put his dirty work clothes away right away, so the baby ended up messing in it.

Walmart sells it! For under 2$ normally!!! Hardware stores also tend to sell it!
