My baby’s temp won’t go below 38.2 (rectally) since her vaccines yesterday. I’ve given her Tylenol every four hours but no change. Her soft spot on her head is also hard. Anyone else? What can I do? Paediatrician said to continue monitoring the temp but I just noticed the soft spot

I believe the soft spot thing is normal. My daughter’s is little bit more firm than before (which is good, it means it’s closing)

Are baby also spiked temp off and on for about 48 hours. We did infant Tylenol and I made sure to nurse more to avoid any dehydration

Wet a wash cloth at room temp water and dab around head and chest. If you have ac on, it will help to cool them slightly which will make them feel a little relief. Dont do more Tylenol than what you are already doing. Definitely don’t overdose Tylenol and just follow max instructions. They won’t even have you go to the ER until their temp hits 104/40. And usually they prefer that’s the temperature of the forehead contactless thermometer which is lower than rectal.

Following up- a fever is not a bad thing. It is a sign your LOs immune system is just trying to fight the virus and they will develop antibodies. 4 month vaccines are also not live virus vaccines. They don’t start those til one year old now. So don’t fear the vaccine fever reaction if it’s not going above 104. It is just a healthy immune response.
