Heartbroken ๐Ÿ˜”

I went away on a vacation for 5 days, my baby did not cry or throw tantrum at any time, she was happy all through ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅน I expected her to go off her milk or food , but none of these, does this mean anything? I am not supposed to be sad but I am, I expected her to cry the first day at least ๐Ÿ˜ƒ POV: I left her with the dad and she will be 9 months tomorrow.

Of course not mama! She loves you and she missed you very much but youโ€™ve secured a good enough attachment that she knows that you love her aaaand dad did an amazing job! You should be proud of both of them x

I recently spent 5 days in hospital away from my BF baby but only had enough expressed milk for a day as it was only supposed to be an overnight stay - my little boy was absolutely fine without me and his milk machines ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ which upset me too a little but just shows they have a secure attachment with Daddy

This will be me in September. Iโ€™ll be away for 2 weeks (girls trip followed by work trip). Iโ€™ve been feeling quite nervous about leaving my baby as we have never been apart from each other for more than 3/4 hours since she was born. But reading this post and the comments is giving me some reassurance that she will be fine! Sheโ€™s a Daddyโ€™s girl so hereโ€™s hoping we have a similar experience ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ

They express their big emotions with those they feel most comfortable with
My son is always "as good as gold" at nursery and saves his meltdowns for home

It tells me that you are raising a very secure and happy child.
Don't get me wrong, it is quite disappointing that your Baby didn't seem to miss you. I hope it stays that peaceful every time you take time away.

Sometimes people forget baby was fussy (or they keep it quiet to not ruin your day out!). I asked my mum the other day why the hairdryer was out in our bedroom as she'd been babysitting while my husband and I went to test drive a bigger car. She'd previously said baby didn't get upset at all! And then said she used the hairdryer noise to stop her crying and go to sleep!

Aww enjoy your time off! My baby doesn't miss me when home with dad without me but makes up for it by being super clingy and waking a lot at night for cuddles the following evening and day so maybe just wait for it when you're back and bank your sleep now. I'm sure the others are all correct about the secure attachment and it's definitely good that baby is coping fine โค๏ธ
